Improving Your Life Doesn’t Have to Be Complicated

As humans, we tend to over-complicate everything. We are constantly making things much more difficult than they really are.
When it comes to improvement in life, career, or business, what we don’t realize is, improvement is a simple process.
I have to admit, I love simple things!
When we think about our need for improvement, most of us are paralyzed with fear, because we think it is a hard and complicated process.
However, I have learned, if we discipline ourselves to improving the areas of our lives that need improvement, we can do it, and it really isn’t so hard to do.
Recently I was reading through the archives of one of my favorite bloggers, Darren Poke of betterlifecoachingblog.com, and I ran across a post from March 2011, that really stoked my fire about the simplicity of improving any area of your life.
It is a simple process that works in all areas of life. Whether you need to lose weight, break a bad habit, get physically fit, have better health, be a better writer, be a better speaker, become a better spouse or parent, or be a better employee, this simple process will work for you. That is, if you will work it consistently and persistently.
Here it is: Ten Steps to Improving at Anything (click here to read Darren’s post in its entirety)
Do it again!
Do it some more!
Do it when you feel like it!
Do it when you don’t feel like it!
Read books about it!
Find a mentor or coach who does it well!
Get feedback about how well you do it!
Teach someone else how to do it!
Do it every day and keep doing it!
See, I told you it was simple!
Don’t let anything hold you back!
If you will just start doing it and keep doing it, over time you will see vast improvement in your life.
